Tiburon Classic Car Show 2013
by Kevin Edwards on Jun.24, 2013, under Automobiles, Festival
For the past few years, I’ve been taking photos at the Tiburon Classic Car Show. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend this year’s show.
Fortunately, Darby Sutherland was at the show and sent in these fabulous photos from the Tiburon Classic Car Show 2013:
It’s a really wonderful show and if any other photographers have pictures they’d like to share, please send me a note and I can host the pictures if you want, or link to where you may be hosting the pictures.
Also, Element Coffee Bar at 1550 Tiburon Boulevard celebrated their grand opening the weekend of the auto show. Be sure to check them out when you get a chance.

Friday Nights on Main Street – Ritmojito with Special Guest – Live at Servino Ristorante
by Kevin Edwards on Jul.13, 2010, under Entertainment in Tiburon, Festival, Music
Summer is here, and Friday Nights are alive again on Main Street in Tiburon. Here’s a video of Mas Que Nada (one of my favorite all time songs) performed by Ritmojito, a special guest joins Sandra Aran of Ritmojito towards the end. Be sure to check out the live music schedule at Servino Ristorante.
This is one of my favorite bands, and they’re perfect for a place like Servino’s Ristorante. They have a really nice playlist which is jazzy and romantic for dinner, and transitions gradually through the evening to latin/ska/salsa that will get you on your feet as you party into the night.

50+ Wineries, food sampling from restaurants vendors, Live Music from The Soulshine Blues Band, Angel Island shore with breathtaking views of Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco skyline, Tiburon, Sausalito and Belvedere Island.
For more information see:
Vino Moda Save Angel Island Wine Festival 2010.
This turned out to be a wonderful wine festival. Despite the very long line early on, things seemed to work out very well. Most people showed up before the event started, but once they got under way with letting people in, the line moved swiftly.
There was plenty of wine through the day. Only a couple of vendors seemed to run out. Note to vendors: don’t ever let this happen.
The weather was amazing again this weekend. Thanks for letting it rain during the week between opening day and the wine festival!
Also, the oyster were really good. They’re the same oysters they serve at the cantina at Ayala Cove.
I’m not sure how much money was raised for the island, but I hope it was a lot. The island is definitely worth it!
Sausalito Art Festival 2009
by Kevin Edwards on Sep.15, 2009, under Art, Festival, Music, Wine
The Sausalito Art Festival was a total blast. My favorite moment was watching The English Beat perform. Dave Wakeling and the rest of the band can really put on a show. Somehow they were able to manage a mashup of their hit Sooner or Later along with Tom Petty‘s Free Falling and Pearl Jam‘s Better Man. Tainted Love was also a lot of fun for the 80s fans, as was Night Ranger, while Servino‘s regular Michael LaMacchia performed on the artist stage.
Monday was the Heroes of Woodstock 40th Anniversary Tribute with Tom Constanten, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Big Brother and the Holding Company, Canned Heat, and Jefferson Starship.
I was a little disappointed with the food, although the crab cakes were really good, and so was the wine and champagne.
And of course the art was definitely worth spending a day or two to go through and see it all.
As for me, I was too busy enjoying the work of others, so continuing in that spirit, please enjoy the above slideshow of photos submitted to Flickr from various attending photographers.
Sausalito Artist Chelsea Croy at the Red Union Hair Salon and Gallery Party
by Kevin Edwards on Aug.07, 2009, under Art, Party
From Red Union Hair Salon in San Francisco. Chelsea Croy has always lived in the bay area and is currently living and working in Sausalito. Her mother was an artist and started her off early in that direction. Chelsea began her education in art at the College of Marin, then continuing at the Academy of Art in San Francisco, and the College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland. In 2003 and 2004 she was chosen to show at the prestigious Sausalito Art Festival. Chelsea Croy has been selected to show at the Artisan Gallery, and at the gallery at the College of Marin, Her work is collected throughout the country.
Photos from the Chelsea Croy party can also be download for free on Flickr:
From the artist:
The figure has always captivated me. It compels us and we identify with it. We see arms, legs, and head and imagine blood, bones, heart, emotions and intellect. The human body is a symbol of contrasts. It is our nature to be strong, yet delicate, fallible yet sublime, solid yet susceptible. These are qualities I keep in mind whenever beginning a new work.
My images are bold, passionate and often monumental in scale. They are a celebration of our individual uniqueness, resilience and power.

Tiburon 9th Annual International Film Festival (2009)
by Kevin Edwards on Jul.22, 2009, under Entertainment in Tiburon, Festival, Film
From the Tiburon International Film Festival 2009. Sorry for the delay on these. I really enjoyed the film festival, and saw some incredible films. My favorite, Guard No. 47, won best picture, best director, Filip Renč, best cinematography, Karel Fairaisl, and best actress, Lucia Siposova. There were many other brilliant films, and unfortunately (in terms of photos), I was busier watching films than taking pictures.
I’m looking forward to the Mill Valley Film Festival, October 8-18…and may be doing more than taking pictures there.
As always, you can download these pictures for free from Flickr.
Red Union Hair Salon Party with Artist Lorraine Lawson
by Kevin Edwards on Jul.13, 2009, under Art, Food, Music, Party, Wine
Red Union hair salon is in San Francisco, not Tiburon, but it’s definitely the best hair salon in the greater San Francisco Bay Area, including Tiburon, Belvedere and all of Marin County. From Tiburon, it’s just a quick trip over the Golden Gate and then there’s easy parking off of Union Street. Once a quarter, the owner, Erika Redding does a salon party with free beer, wine, music, and appetizers to show off the new artist’s opening. This is really a wonderful way to start the evening in the city or to come back to Tiburon and end up at Sam’s. However, I’d highly recommend going there first for the hair services!
The next party is Saturday, July 18, 2009, from 7pm to 9pm!
